These couple of weeks the Boyfriend and I have had some serious heart to heart talks about the future ahead.
There's a high possibility he might be posted to the US to train for the F-15SG for a period of at least 4 mths, 1 year or 2 years. If he gets posted for 4 mths, he 'll quickly go and come back.. but if he is posted for 1 or 2 years...... we might go together.
If that happens, we'll have so many things to think about. Marriage, because you need to be officially married before you can bring your wife over. Work, because I'll have to quit my job and go with him.
We've also applied for a flat earlier, that would mostly have to be given up as well if we really get it.
Also, what I would do if I were to go there with him. Spouses are not allowed to work, so only can stay at home and do housework 24/7 and take care of the husband, or study. Did some research on the city that we will live in if he gets posted to the US and there are some study courses that I can take up.
But despite all these concerns, cold weather and being far away from Singapore, I know it'll be an exciting, exciting experience for us if we really get to go and it will only serve to bond us closer together.
It's really a big move and many decisions to make if he's seclected to go... getting myself mentally prepared for the crossroads ahead.
