Recieved a letter from HDB today regarding our ballot for the flat.
Realised we made a big mistake! We should have applied under the Married Child Priority Scheme (MCPS) which would double our chances of the balloting because the flat we applied for is near my parents' place and they defintely won't be moving out within the next 5 years!
I knew there was such a thing but I din know it we had to apply under the MCPS. I thought just putting myself as the main applicant, they can trace back my current address and automatically can double our chances :(
My brother and his fiancee, who also applied for the same flats, got 4 chances because they are first timers (x2 chances) and applied under the MCPS (x2 chances)!!
As First-timers, we only got 2!! :(
In a balloting exercise of 3,000+ applicants for 199 flats, 2 chances is all we've got. Not getting out hopes up too high, getting the flat will be nothing short of miracle.
*fingers crossed*
